Round 5 Rider Checklist & Information
Last Checklist & Information For Riders
- Competitor Parking is available in the woods on the fire road beside race HQ. Please park on the left-hand side of the fire road. You will be leaving the race in this direction so no need to turn your vehicle. (see directions).
- Make a note of your Rider Number, to speed up sign on.
- €10 deposit for Timing Tag (wear tag on right hand)
- Bring your CI Licence (physical, paper or electronic copy). We need to see it at race sign on to prove its yours and its valid for race day. If you can’t produce it, you will have to purchase a full 1 day CI Licence (€20)
- Bring your minimum mandatory equipment with you at all times out on the course (see list below)
- Note the overall Race times (see below)
- There are no other time limits. None for transitions, stages, lunch, etc.
- All obstacles are rollable. There are no gaps, large jumps or tabletops as it’s a blind format race.
- A mandatory practice ban comes into place on Sunday 1st of October at 6 am. No competitors may ride any part of the course after this.
- Toilets are available at Race HQ.
- Food and drink. A limited quantity of water, bananas and biscuits will be available at the start of stage 2. There are no taps at Race HQ. Hot and cold food will be available to purchase from the Gourmet Grill at race HQ from 10 am onwards (including breakfast).
Important: mountain biking in the Coilte forest property of Scarragh Woods is by permit only. And permits are issued only for organised pre-agreed events. So please, refrain from biking race stages before or after the event.
Mandatory equipment
- Helmet. XC or Full Face. Must be on your head with strap closed when cycling on your bike.
- Mobile phone.
- Basic first aid kit (minimum: 1 x Dressing Pad for heavy bleeding, field dressing, bandage, plasters).
- Survival bag or foil blanket.
- Energy food and drink.
- Wind/ waterproof jacket.
- Bike repair kit (tube, pump or CO2 canisters, allen keys, chain tool).

16:15 Race closes. Last timing tag to be checked in.

Directions to Race Venue
Scarragh Woods, Cahir, Co Tipperary
Car Park GPS Co-ordinates 52°22’36. 7°57’29.
From Dublin,
- Exit the M8 Cork-Dublin Motorway at Junction 10 for Cahir on the R670.
- Entering the square in Cahir Turn Right and cross over the river Suir beside the castle.
- Pass Morrison BMW garage and arrive at Texaco station turn Right onto mountain view drive.
- From here follow the signs for the MTB Enduro event leading you to Scarragh woods.
- As you enter the forest continue straight to the Competitor parking which is along the left side of the forest road
- Please follow the advice of the marshals and park efficiently. We will have approx. 130 vehicles to fit into the parking spaces.
- No access for any competitor vehicles to the Race HQ.
From Galway, Limerick
- When you reach the roundabout at the N24 continue into Cahir town on the R640
- Turn right at SuperValu
- Pass Morrison BMW garage and arrive at Texaco station turn right onto mountain view drive.
- From here follow the signs for the MTB Enduro event leading you to Scarragh woods.
- As you enter the forest continue straight to the Competitor parking which is along the left side of the forest road

- No access for any competitor vehicles to the Race HQ.
From Cork
