Round 1 Information Pack
Please note that all participants are to park at the GAA grounds in Killavullen as there will be no parking at the venue with no exceptions.
The car park is less than 10 minutes at an easy pedal from the race HQ.
There will be a biking ban imposed from Friday the 22nd until race day as work will be ongoing putting the final touches on all three trails.
Times
- Sign on from 8:30 to 10:30
- Trails open from 10:00
- Trails close at 15:00
Stage Difficulty Levels
- The Scully Way 2/5 blue trail
- Motorway 3/5 red trail
- The Gully 4/5 Black trail
Rider Checklist
- Have your details, licence or correct change for a day licence ready for registration.
- If you have a valid Cycling Ireland Licence you must present a copy at registration.
- All riders must go through the bike check.
- Any parents or guardians who are riding with Under 14 racers that are not racing themselves, still need to sign a waiver, have a Cycling Ireland licence, go through the bike check and display a ‘Tech’ plate.
- Please carry the mandatory kit as outlined in the series rules especially the first aid kit and mobile phone. The emergency number will be printed on your race plate.
Driving Directions
Please note the competitor car park is a small distance from the trailhead and race centre, approximately 10 minutes cycling.
From Mallow (16 minutes)
- Follow the N72 direction Fermoy
- Turn right at the sign for Killavullen
- Killavullen GAA will be on your left
From M8 – Direction Cork
- Exit at Junction 15
- At the roundabout take the first exit onto R639 to Fermoy
- Turn left on to the N72 direction Mallow
- Follow the directions from Fermoy
From M8 – Direction Dublin
- Exit at Junction 14 – Fermoy/Kilworth
- At the roundabout take the 3rd exit onto R639 Fermoy
- At the roundabout take the 1st exit staying on R639
- Turn right on to the N72 direction Mallow
- Follow the directions from Fermoy
From Fermoy (22 minutes)
- Continue on the N72 direction Mallow
- Turn left at the sign for Killavullen
- Killavullen GAA will be on your left
