With registration for the opening round of a new series only two days away, it seems like a good time to explain a few changes for 2019.

The categories for this year will be as listed below:

  • Youth / Junior (age 12-16 on Jan 1st 2019)
  • Female (open age group)
  • Under 21 (age 17-20 on Jan 1st 2019)
  • Under 30 (age 21-29 on Jan 1st 2019)
  • Under 40 (age 30-39 on Jan 1st 2019)
  • Under 50 (age 40-49 on Jan 1st 2019)
  • Masters 50 (age 50+ on Jan 1st 2019)
  • Elite (age 18+ on Jan 1st 2019)
  • Hardtail (open age group)
  • eBike (open age group)

For example, if you were aged 29 on the 1st of January this year, you would be entering the Under 30 category for all the rounds this year, regardless of when you turn 30. If you were aged 40 on the 1st of January, then you would be entering the Under 50 category for all the rounds in 2019.

New for 2019 are the Hardtail and eBike categories.

This year we will be using the SportIdent SIEntries online entries system for registration. To speed up your entries we would recommend that you sign up for a SportIdent account ahead of time. If you have previously registered for a Gravity Enduro or First Tracks Enduro event you will likely have an account already set up.

Entries this year will cost €30 per round. The extra charge over last year is to allow the series to upgrade the timing system in the near future.

Thank you all for your continued support, without which that would be no Grassroots Enduro Series. We look forward to the five rounds that are planned, and to seeing you all at the start line.
