Grassroots Enduro Series 2020 News
Sponsorship of 2020 Series
We would like to thank Mondraker for their support as series sponsor in 2019, and especially Brian Roban of BikingDirty.Com for his continuous support over the last 3 years of the Grassroots Enduro Series. Unfortunately due to recent business changes Brian can no longer be with us as series sponsor in 2020. As it stands we are searching for a series sponsor. Until we find one we will have to forgo having prizes at each round. Rest assured we will have the unique trophies at each round as well as continuing to provide a great day’s biking.
New Sports Ident Timing System
Thanks to a Sports Capital Grant of €18,100 we have purchased a new timing system from Sports Ident, who time the Gravity Enduros and Vitus First Tracks Enduros, and run the SI Entries system. No more faffing and stopping at the start and finish line. You can cycle past the start and finish beacons as fast as your legs will carry you. In addition if you decide to purchase your own Sports Ident Active Card (SIAC, ie the red timing tag that goes on your wrist, available at Sport Ident for €65) then you will get a €5 discount at each race.

Mandatory Wearing of Full Face Helmets
In accordance with the Cycling Ireland Off-Road Commission, 2020, ALL RIDERS MUST WEAR FULL FACE HELMENTS AT ALL TIMES AT ALL ENDURO RACES. These can either be the one piece integral type, or the removable chin type. This applies when on their bike at all times, including transition sections. When cycling their bike, the competitor’s helmet must be fully on their head with the chin strap closed. Failure to comply will result in automatic disqualification.
